January 5, 2015
On New Year’s Day 2015 a Ford Mustang, a Chevy Nomad and a Chrysler 300 drove cross country from LeMay – America’s Car Museum, Tacoma, WA through snow, hail, sleet and mud on their way to Detroit. The entourage stopped along the route to meet with fellow enthusiasts and collectors. Collectors Car Garage, Chicago was overnight stop #11 for the caravan that was headed to the North American International Auto Show.
The crowd enjoyed seeing these three 50 year old, mud-caked rally cars that were exhibited inside Cobo Hall in total contrast to all the new shiny offerings. CCG was happy to host these intrepid drivers. CCG offered to wash the cars, but the entourage wanted everyone along the way to see that these cars were being driven and enjoyed!
